Total Trainer Home Gym 4000-XL Review

This is pretty much a first impressions review.

It arrived earlier than the shipping estimate, and was packaged in a double box.The machine is easy to set up, so easy that the hardest part was actually opening the two layers of boxes.

The TT4000XL is satisfyingly heavily constructed, with steel rails and a well-built padded bench that is both wider and longer than other brands at this price.I* bought the 4000XL "blind," based on online reviews and after trying some competing brands.So far, it has lived up to the positive reviews, and has all the advantages it was touted as having.

Specifically, it is a bit larger than other brands at this price point.The more well-known Total Gym series, in particular, is a little small for me and feels cramped - io am 6 feet tall and 180 lbs, the outside limit for the Total Gym until you move up to the $1000 models.The Total trainer, however, doesn;'t feel cramped at all to me, and I really appreciate the heavier, longer, and wider glide bench.

Like most body-weight resistance home gyms, it folds up for easy storage.The wheels/casters are smooth and easy to roll, making it easy for my wife to move the gym around, and either set it up or fold it away for storage.Since it weighs around 90 lbs, I was a little concerned she would not be able to maneuver it, but she has had no problems.

Again, we've only had it but a few days, but so far it seems solid, well-built, and sturdy.Based on this machine, I would recommend Bayou Fitness products to any moderate-to-casual home user.This is a high-quality piece of equipment, and offers features - like the bar for adding additional weight - that are available from other brands only on their much more expensive models.It is a much better machine than the base models other companies offer at this price point.

PowerLine Ab Crunch Bench / Machine Review

The bench is decent, I can't say its a sweet deal but for the amount of money you are paying, I guess you aren't being ripped off either.there is no installation manual so you have to put it together based on the exploded diagram. also the way the machine is made, for those people of shorter stature, the back and bottom are very uncomfortable. The straps dont come down very far and when you try to do tricep exercises, its easy to hit your head.on the positive side, even though it is uncomfortable, this machine does give you a good ab/tri workout.

Scope Fitness Total Gym Scopefitness.com Review

This product arrived quickly and included everything in the description. I've had the product for a while and the results are great. I've replaced a lot of heavy equipment with the Total Gym because it's just so small and easy to use. The handle and belt of the Total Gym are firm yet comfortable. I can get really creative with this product and almost target every muscle on my body. I'm very satisfied with the Total Gym and will recommend it to everyone who wants a better body.

This DVD gives a good idea of all the exercises you can do with your Bowflex besides just the basics.Purvis is a little annoying to listen to, but Im in the fitness industry and have survived his lectures before and they are always informative. GoFit 45-Pound Black Kettlebell Kit Review

Hi, i have been using kettlebells now for about one year now and i think with diet and the bell i have been able to lose almost twenty pounds this year! I tried weight training, bands but nothing has performed for me like a kettlebell. I just stepped up to the 45Lb last month from the 35Lb bell and it takes some getting used to. But the effort is worth it every time i look in the mirror. CIA 2401 Cardio Crazy plus Bonus Core DVD Review

Pros:The repetition will allow you to catch on.The exercisers all move in synch.

Cons:I was expecting a high intermediate/advanced workout.The step routine was repetitive and perhaps more directed towards beginners.The neon green background with the big red circle was an awful combination-- considering the exercisers were wearing blue and black. I didn't really care for the music. There aren't many variations to the moves (ie. high impact vs. low impact) which I'm used to from many of my other videos.I got the impression that this was converted from VHS to DVD.I don't really know much about CIA workouts to be sure on this one.. but it wasn't crisp -- as newer dvds are.

SPRI Elite Xercise Workout Swiss Ball - Commercial Grade (45cm, 55cm, 65cm, 75cm) Review

I had read that this is a 22" ball and it was one of the reasons I ordered it. I am 5' 5" and it will work, but I would much prefer that other inch. The 65 cm. is a bit too big for me, and this one is more ideal, but not perfect. It warns not to blow it up past 21". Otherwise it is of good quality. What the others have said about the smell is VERY true. It does smell right out of the box. It has a very strong rubbery type smell mixed with an almost vanilla type scent (may sound pleasant but it is not). It sets off my asthma.

The other size Spri balls that come as a kit with the pump did not smell as bad as this one does. It seems almost like they purposely added something to this for scent purposes, but it doesn't work. It smelled up my whole living area, which is 16' x 14', so I stuck it in a less used room to air out. I am pretty certain it will get better with time. The ones at the gym do not have a noticable smell.

This is the exact same ball that I use at our 24 hour fitness (the elite), but they do put more air in it (it is bigger than mine, because of that). I ordered it, after using theirs, because I do like it. Note: it does have very strong rigid rings around the ball, but they have not bothered me at all. I was concerned the might.

UPDATE: Still smells, several months later. Still like the way it functions, but I have to keep it in my spare room.

I liked my package price but the hoop was a little cheaper quality than I had expected, especially when I had saved to purchase it. The screws came out the second day and the tape is crumpling. It's a good starter kit. Probably best to use for travel when absolutely necessary. Love the carrying bag although I'm sure I'd find more use for it other than for the hoop.
